Benches and Birdhouses!

Corner bench.

This past weekend I had a great visit with my in-laws in the country. I picked up a few of these garden benches and birdhouses that my father-in-law makes in his spare time. A few of the girls at work wanted to purchase one for their garden. He uses reclaimed wood (barn board, window frames etc), used garden tools (mostly garden forks) and found objects (old door knobs, hinges, latches, spoons, keyholes, buckles etc) for his creations. They are truly one of a kind objects!

Ihave posted some pictures of his work. These garden decorations make great gifts. The prices are very reasonable for such a unique piece of art work! If you are interested in purchasing any of his creations, please leave a comment on this post and I will let him know.

  1. What a unique idea a corner bench is! I love the look of that re-claimed wood furniture, bird houses, etc. I love touring tea houses, old homesteads, etc - with artwork like this - and even more so when it's actually in use!!!
